This week’s lineup of The Queue we look at some new releases, newly discovered gems and or recently added to our playlist that we simply can’t take off repeat from Kehlani, Jordan Ward, Anders, Devin Morrison, Omarion and Ronny J.

Kehlani x 6lack | RPG

First up, our first cover star, Kehlani woos us every single time she breathes on a track let alone share a duet with R&B-crooner 6lack. The track we can’t get enough of comes from Kehlani’s third mixtape While We Wait (TSNMI / Atlantic). Peep the amazing visuals directed by Trey Lyons below.

Jordan Ward | Holdin’ Me Back

You may recognize Jordan Ward‘s face from attempting to make Beyoncé laugh in her latest Netflix debuted film ‘Homecoming‘ or danced on stage with Janet Jackson at last year’s Billboard Music Awards but he has more in store than just being an amazing back up dancer. The St. Louis-native delivers us an R&B-laced track entitled ‘Holdin’ Me Back‘. Listen to his latest via YouTube below.

anders f/ Emerson | Problems

Our favorite new Toronto-based artist anders CANNOT make a bad record. His solid projects, 669 and Twos, is easily some of the best music released within the genre. With 3.3M monthly listeners on Spotify, we see this one making a No. 1 in no time. Listen to our new favorite “Problems” featuring Emerson by anders on the player below.

Devin Morrison | Fairytale f/ Lakks Mable

Discovered this gem of a record from Orlando-based crooner Devin Morrison on show 402 from Joe Kay‘s Soulection Radio on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio. Morrison mixes bouncy 90s sounds in smooth textured R&B which may be a love song or gospel-tinged record. With the track “Fairytale” featuring Lakks Mable, it disguisedly talks about the realness of Jesus. It’s seriously not what you’ll expect from any praise music but it’s the best we’ve ever heard in any attempt to make gospel feel … well, sexy. Listen to his record from his project, “Bussin’” on the player below.

Omarion | Word 4 Word

We don’t know where others place Omarion in the ‘King of R&B’ conversation but he’s totally in our TOP 5. Especially with releasing consistently overlooked released projects “Sex Playlist” and gem-filled projects like CP4. We revisit his visual, “Word 4 Word,” shot in Tokyo directed by Omarion & Deji LaRay. Watch it on the player below.

Ronny J | Star

If any track title personified Ronny J it would have to be his latest track “Star.” You’ve heard his beats give the most underrated acts validation from XXXTentacion, Bhad Babie, Lil’ Pump to legendary acts like Eminem and Kanye West. Ronny J’s presence on a track and visually will have you repeating his producer tag, “OMG! Ronny!” after witnessing his latest visual “Star” coming from his upcoming project on the player below.
