SWGRUS (pronounced swagger-are-us) is a new Black-owned Chicago-based independent multimedia magazine that caters to music creative culture and fashion. Our visual medium is focused on highlighting the creatives-behind-creatives while still appreciating the cultural relevance of the work.

SWGRUS was created to spotlight the creatives who influence culture with art, music, aesthetic and style. We like to explore the connection between style patterns as it correlates to music and how our environment inspires creativity. Unlike other platforms, SWGRUS showcases and encapsulates the essence of performance shows, provides visuals and detailed editorials for their niche audience from concerts of related artists relevant to street culture. We also honor art directors, videographers, photographers, producers and visual artists alike.

We want the unknown and often underappreciated young creatives to have a platform to stand on.
