A look at Kehlani’s production company Honey Shot Productions.
Amazon Music got the opportunity to take fans behind the scenes of Kiana Lede‘s collaborative single “Ur Best Friend” featuring Kehlani. The Oakland singer-songwriter also directed the visual co-starring Vic Mensa as the leading male in the storyline for the music video. The music video was shot by Honey Shot Productions which is owned by Kehlani. The production company has shot videos for Destin Conrad, Ambré and several of Kehlani’s self-directed visuals.
When Kiana Lede was asked about the environment of the video set and working with one of her favorite artists and them directing her video she stated:
It was awesome. I’m not even exaggerating. That was the best set that I have ever been on, and I think it’s because Kehlani is so good at her job and she does her projects with her best friends. All this love and friendship was going into the video. This was Kehlani’s directorial debut, then on top of that, they came on as an artist. She’s basically been taking notes and learning from all the directors that she’s worked with and made it a better space for directors and artists to work in the same space together.
