Kim Jones and Travis Scott collaborate on ‘Cactus Jack Dior’.
Dior took a turn in the best way possible and linked up with a musical artist like Travis Scott to ignite interest in the 2022 Summer Menswear collection courtesy of Artistic Director Kim Jones.
Dior also shared a video via Instagram of Travis sewing a piece from the upcoming collection:
This is the first time Dior has partnered with a musician for a complete collection which was unveiled at Paris Fashion Week on an also historic runway.
Travis has reimagined Dior’s logo with a series of hand-drawn graphics, utilized as prints and embroidery. Other motifs, including the topography of Houston, the Cactus Jack character, and imagery drawn from Dior’s archives, became patches, trophies of imaginary trips that adorn bags and leather souvenir jackets.
