Drake’s ‘Certified Lover Boy’ is finally being released.
Drake fans rejoice! The long awaited album, Certified Lover Boy (OVO Sound/ Republic Records) will (hopefully) be here by the end of summer.
On Saturday, the Canadian rapper made an appearance at the Ultimate Rap League’s N.O.M.E. XI where he sat down with battle rappers Nunu Nellz and Tsu Surf. The discussion, which was livestreamed on the app Caffeine, consisted of the upcoming Murda Mook and Reed Dollaz match up set to take place at the Summer Madness event. During the discussion Drake mentioned “I’ll be there. My album will be out by then.”
The soon-to-be sixth studio album was originally scheduled to be released in January 2021, but the release date was postponed due to the rappers health issues. In an Instagram story from January, Drake stated “I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery. I’m blessed to be back on my feet feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.”
