The Queue is our recurring music segment that brings you the best music that have come out in recent weeks or a throwback that we’ve been playing all week.

This week’s The Queue brings you our favorite new tracks and visuals from Victoria Monét, Anders, Snoh Aalegra, dvsn, Phony Ppl, Brent Faiyaz, Mahalia.

#1 | Victoria Monét / Moment

Singer-songwriter Victoria Monét has been on our radar since hearing her featured on earlier projects with Eric Bellinger. She reappeared after discovering work that she produced with JaQuel Knight for her visual for song “Freak.” This brand new single “Moment” dropped two weeks ago paired with a beautiful directed by Valentin Petit. The track will appear on Monét’s upcoming debut album Jaguar due Spring 2020. Watch the visual above.

#2 | Anders / On Me

Canadian crooner Anders is undeniably one of our favorite newcomers in the game right now. This new track dropped last month titled “On Me” is Anders first offering from 2020. We’re looking forward to hearing what Anders has in store. Check out the song + visual directed by Marcus Letts.

#3 | Snoh Aalegra / Whoa (Remix)

The Persian songstress Snoh Aalegra teams up with a super-power in Pharrell Williams for the remix for her hit-record “Whoa“. Snoh Aalegra’s last project ugh, those feels again… ended up on our ‘Best of 2019‘ list for more reasons than one. Listen to the track on the player above.

#4 | dvsn / A Muse

OVO Sound’s producer-singer duo dvsn released the visual for “A Muse” from their first offering of the year. The track was produced by Nineteen85 and Alan Ritter and samples Lonnie Liston Smith‘s “A Garden of Peace.” Listen to the track and the visual directed by Andrew Hamilton.

#5 | Phony Ppl F/ Megan Thee Stallion / Fkn Around

Brooklyn-based collective Phony Ppl‘s collaborative track, “Fkn Around” featuring Megan Thee Stallion is a gem. The track speaks to a love interest that is currently in a relationship but… f**kin’ around. The car wash party in the Madeline Kate Kann-directed visual is pretty perfect too. Listen the track and visual above.

#6 | Brent Faiyaz / Been Away

Sonder‘s Brent Faiyaz has been released a phenomenal project titled “Fuck The World” and it’s ode to classic 90s R&B is one of the best contribution to the genre in a while. The track “Been Away” produced by Dpat, Los Hendrix, Sam Wish, Nascent & Jake One is reminiscent to the Timbaland-produced Aaliyah hit “One In A Million” which is already in my book — earns a multiple replay mode. Listen to the track on the player above.

#7 | Mahalia f/ Ella Mai / What You Did (Cam’ron Remix)

British singer Mahalia calls on UK-mate Ella Mai for a beautifully crafted record “What You Did” which samples Cam’ron & Juelz Santana‘s collaborative track “Oh Boy.” Last week, Mahalia dropped the official remix of the collaborative record which features a verse from Killa Cam himself. This is a must-add for nostalgic purposes as well as all the British flavor on this track. Listen to the track on the player above.
