ON WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY
“My first introduction to the industry, I was working at Athlete’s Foot—I was, like, 15, and that was my first official job. It was in the suburbs; I had to take two buses and a train to get there. I loved sneakers at the time. It was my dream job to work at a sneaker store. I could get a discount, I could get all the releases, so it was like a win-win. It taught me a lot. It was a very important time in my life, and I’ll never forget it.”
ON RSVP GALLERY’S DAY-TO-DAY
“No [day] is really typical, it changes a lot. I would say for the most part [my day] is a lot of emails, a lot of conference calls, a lot of surfing the Internet, seeing what’s new. That is probably the hardest thing, just seeing what is up-and-coming—we want to make sure RSVP stays on top of things. I do a lot of consulting for a lot of people, so I am always trying to see what the new thing is or a new way to do something.”
