Rihanna Was Spotify’s Most Streamed Female Artist in 2015, Even Without Releasing an Album

Don’t act like you forgot.

According to Vanity Fair, Rihanna was Spotify’s most listened to female artist on Spotify’s streaming service in 2015.

She released three singles this year—“FourFiveSeconds,” in January, “Bitch Better Have My Money,” in March, and “American Oxygen,” in April—yet none of the three were followed, as many hoped or assumed, with an album release.

Rihanna racked up more than 1 Billion streams and over 57 million listeners surpassing many other female artists who has released new music within the year.

Drake was the most streamed male artist this year (1.8 billion streams, 46 million listeners).
