Los Angeles-based brand RHUDE releases teases regarding their upcoming collaboration with German-sportswear brand PUMA. The upcoming collection features models from CELL Alien, Palace Guard, Basket ’68 OG Mid, and ALTERATION which will range $100 to $225.
Designer and founder of RHUDE, Rhuigi Villaseñor, spoke on migrating to American and having the opportunity to work with PUMA
“Having immigrated to the United States before going to high-school, I learned about the power of brand recognition in a different way than most American designers. The power of a logo can hold such weight and serve armor in its own way, the idea that I have the access to re-imagine that concept with my own brand in partnership with PUMA is a dream come true its own right.”
The collection will feature familiar motifs such as plaid longcoats, trousers, track jackets and sweatshirts marrying both styles of each signature brand intended for a unisex capsule collection.
The CELL Alien features mesh and synthetic overlays on the upper, a chunky sole, visible CELL technology, and complementary reflective accents. The Palace Guard features suede, leather, and nylon on the upper, randomly placed stitching, and a perforated form strip. The Basket ’68 OG Mid features dark details on the upper with light suede overlays, a clean rubber midsole in pebble, and a form strip. The ALTERATION features a neoprene upper with suede overlays, dark detail, and a vintage-looking two-tone midsole.
The collection is slated to be available on August 3rd, 2019.
