Reese Cooper Unveils ‘Hitchhiking’ AW19 Collection

21-year-old luxury menswear designer, Reese Cooper, has hit the ground running with his Autumn/Winter 2019 collection entitled “Hitchhiking.”

On July 20th at an art gallery in Los Angeles, Reese presented his new collection inspired by the great outdoors. From paisley prints to flannel patterns, this capsule embodies the untapped harmonic relationship between designerwear, hunting, and Iowa– and it never looked better.

The art gallery was decorated to keep a cohesive theme with the clothing released. There were tree branches for clothes racks holding the garments and leaves scattered on the floor. Photos from his AW19 lookbook were plastered on wooden pannels throughout the gallery floor. The first hundred guests were given an exclusive t-shirt in celebration of the release that is never going to be reproduced. A short film showcasing the collection on the side of interstate highways and sketchy motels was screened at the end of the night. The overall creative direction of the gallery design, to the short film, lookbook, and the garments all kept a uniform vibe that was hard to ignore.

Since I’ve been privileged enough to meet the young visionary, there’s no telling when RCI will slow down. This Los Angeles based designer has already been recognized as a CFDA and Vogue Fashion Fund 2019 Finalist and will be showcasing his AW19 collection at his first-ever runway show during New York Fashion Week later this year.

Reese Cooper’s “Hitchhiking” collection is now available for purchase online.
