Theophilus London x RSVP Gallery | VIBES

Musician and eccentric style-God Theophilus London blessed Chicago’s finest high-end streetwear clothier RSVP Gallery with a meet-and-greet in celebratory fashion for his latest project, VIBES. Virgil Abloh and Theophilus London collaborated on an exclusive in-store signing for his latest album and collaborative t-shirt release with the boutique. Supports of the mogul Abloh and London all commenced in one room to cop a piece of the rare RSVP Gallery VIBES collaboration.

If you haven’t heard his new music, it’s quite possible you’ve seen him in a television spot or maybe in the pages of GQ, Vogue, Interview Magazine. London has even been cosigned, by infamous Karl Lagerfield, who shot the cover of the latest project VIBES.

The encounter with Theophilus London was unlike any other meetings I’ve had with any other artist. London’s energy spoke to the entire room even if you weren’t right in front of him. It was as if he was an “experience” rather than an typical musician at a meet-and-greet. The line moved slowly but surely. Virgil and Theophilus made sure to connect with all the supporters in the room even after the scheduled ending hour. The now sold-out tee were signed for many random fans with various illustrations by the duo, Abloh and London.

London has also recently collaborated with Stüssy for a capsule collection to celebrate his latest project.

London’s influence in the streetwear world is impeccable when it comes to individuality and sense of self-expressive style. The pieces Theophilus decides to rock doesn’t seem forced or inorganic. We got a chance to capture some random moments from London and got to hear what his Outfit of the Day was.
