Off-White Fall/Winter 2020 Collection

Off-White makes bold statements in its “Tornado Warning” F/W 2020 Men’s Collection Show in Paris Fashion Week.

Off-White opens the F/W 2020 Show at Paris Fashion Week with a D.C-based tap dancer named Cartier Williams wearing a t-shirt printed with the statement “I support young black businesses” to start this year’s collection in Paris. Creative director Virgil Abloh spoke to VOGUE backstage:

“Usually my ethos has been to find a quote from someone else to speak for me that gives context,” Abloh explained backstage. “But now, instead of finding someone else’s words, these are my own words—they’re like orchestrated storytelling.”

This particular show from Off-White echoed some of Virgil’s earlier sentiments regarding streetwear in a recent interview with Dazed stating he believes streetwear “dies in 2020“. This year’s Fall/Winter collection is more pronounced tailoring of heavy and light textiles such as tailored leather jacket and light wide-leg pant trousers.
