In the early hours of June 8th, Kanye West gave fans a chance to cop and item his highly anticipated YEEZY x Gap collection.
The drop came at 3am on Yeezy’s 44th birthday. The project was originally announced almost one year to the date back in 2020. Instead of offering fans a full range of items however, the drop contained a single blue jacket.
The first offering from the GAP x YZY collection is the “Round” YEEZY Gap Jacket available at $200 USD was seen on a masked Kanye back in June 2021.

Photos of the blue jacket were projected onto various buildings with a QR code and the Yeezy Gap logo in certain areas of Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. One of these projections was captured by Fonzworth Bentley and shared to his Instagram.
This isn’t the first time Kanye has decided to rollout his collection in an odd manner. Back in May 2013, a video clip of his face rapping along to “New Slaves” was randomly broadcasted on buildings in major cities around the world to release his Yeezus collection. Yeezy Gap has taken over the official Gap Instagram account for the time being- with the page only showing a looping video of the Round Jacket and the “YZY” logo as its profile photo.
The blue jacket is currently only available in the US for preorder at gap.com. It’s going for $200 and is expected to ship in Fall 2021. We still don’t know when the full product line will make its way into Gap stores nationwide.
