Chief Keef Dropped From Interscope Records

Chief Keef has been officially dropped from Interscope Records. According to Keef, it all happened “about a week ago” in reference to a tweeted photo on his Twitter. The Chicago-native was contracted a multi-million dollar deal but only delivered one LP, Finally Rich, which resulted in poor demand in ticket and album sales. The debut LP has sold 200,000 copies to date.

 

Apparently after the departure of Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre, Keef decided that he no longer wanted to be handled by Interscope. Due to a deal with Apple and Beats by Dre, the absence of Iovine and Dr. Dre left Keef unhappy in his situation with Interscope.

 

Keef claims his projects are still scheduled for their originally announced release dates in a tweet below:
