Beyoncé reveals athleisure wear line, Ivy Park

Athletic ladies, time to get in formation.

Beyoncé has revealed the identity behind her athleisure line, Ivy Park. Above is a lookbook of pieces that will be available at Topshop and Nordstrom come April 14. Bey recently talked about her latest line of athletic gear:

“My goal with Ivy Park is to push the boundaries of athletic wear and to support and inspire women who understand that beauty is more than your physical appearance” Beyoncé commented. “True beauty is the health of our minds, hearts and bodies. I know that when I feel physically strong, I am mentally strong and I wanted to create a brand that made other women feel the same way.”

Ivy Park’s name origin pays homage to her daughter Blue Ivy and her childhood sanctuary, Parkwood Park, which also is a derivative of her production company Parkwood Entertainment. In the video, Bey explains her childhood beginnings of how she became tolerant to perservance: “I would wake up in the morning and my dad would come knocking on my door; tell me it’s time to go running. I remember wanting to stop but I would push myself to keep going. It taught me discipline.”
