Beyoncé Narrates ‘For Serena Williams, With Love’ Gatorade Ad

Directed by Jake Nava, Beyoncé lends her voice to commemorate Serena Williams for Gatorade.

Gatorade rolled out it’s latest advertisement featuring Serena Williams on Sunday night (Aug. 28) during the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. Although we didn’t receive a medley performance of Beyoncé latest critically-acclaimed album Renaissance (Parkwood / Columbia) or an appearance but we got to at least listen to her speak to how impactful Serena Williams will forever be during commercial break.

Serena Williams wins 6-3 victory over Danka Kovinić on Monday (Aug. 29)

The commercial is slated to be paired with Serena’s announcement of “evolving away from tennis” earlier this month. Serena is also playing for a final time at the U.S. Open in which she won her first round singles’ game on Monday night (Aug. 29).

“When the world writes her down in history, we’ll begin where she started. At love. It’s a love that we’ll remember through the generations, a love that started a movement, a movement to always love exactly who you are and who you can be. To be so in love with your identity, that your very essence cannot be contained. To be so in love with your identity, that your very essence can not be contained. To love that sound of your own voice and the way you move. To cherish every muscle and every curve your body exhibits. To feel like a queen, unapologetically, with the crown indefinitely. To always love being a proud Black woman, a parent, a dreamer. To always love being you – a whole you, the real you. To always love you.”
